Kewdos Mosiac Tables

Strength in construction of stone mosaic tables is not only necessary but absolutely essential to ensure the long life of the mosaic table tops.

The contoured ring has great resistance to side impact and the stressed metal base with welded u-tube stretchers prevent vibration within the mosaic thereby protecting the integrity of the design.

Generations of use and enjoyment of these works of art are entirely feasible as they are so well engineered provided they are treated with respect, care and attention.

Kewdos Mosaic tables are made using natural stones bonded to a reinforced metal base which is zinc phosphate and powder coated. It is beneficial to use solid clear furniture bee’s wax on the surface from time to time to further protect the surface and enhance the natural colours.

Protection of metal work

All the metal work is electro statically sprayed with Zinc Phosphate to prevent rust forming and this is completed prior to the paint powder coating at 180 degree centigrade that provides the hard scratch resistant surface. Should a rust spot occur, a touch-up paint is provided with all sets of furniture for use in such circumstances. Furthermore a Hammerite paint product can be used to the same effect if preferred. Many of the components are solid steel and fashioned by blacksmiths process and metal casting.

Caring for your Furniture

It is strongly recommended that all garden furniture is stored away at the end of summer to protect from the ravages of winter weather.

The following are some of the main points to remember to do or avoid:

Small spillages on table tops particularly coloured wines etc should be cleaned immediately with soapy water and a clean cloth.

Do not jet spray the furniture as this can damage the furniture and this type of damage is not covered by the warranty.

Extend the life of the furniture through storage in a cool dry area for the winter.

Do not place hot dishes, barbecue stands or items such as boiling kettles directly onto the stone mosaic surface.

The table top surfaces have been sealed to prevent liquids penetration and it is recommended that the cleaned surfaces are treated with an impregnating sealer (Available from bathroom tile suppliers) at the start of the summer season and prior to winter storage.

We do not guarantee the table tops to be frost proof. During extreme or prolonged freezing conditions mosaic tables should be stored in a protected area.

Furniture covers are generally recommended but should be kept clear of the surface of table tops to allow adequate ventilation of all enclosed areas. The object is to avoid condensation or humid conditions which may over time damage the table

Components of wood may develop splits as it dries out during the season. Small cracks may be visible on the edge and the ends of the wooden. This is a naturally occurring process and not a fault.
